What are your favorite parts of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure?
I'm one of the brave souls who has ventured through all eight parts of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. I've watched most of the old anime, I watched all 3 parts of the new anime and read all eight parts of the manga, some parts numerous times. As a side note I also really love the SNES fighting game and Jojo's Bizarre Adventure Allstar Battle. But anyways, here's my ranking of the 8 parts of Jojo. 8. Part 8: JoJolion - This part is not very far in yet and it's also really confusing. This is the first part I've had to read bi monthly as all the previous parts were completely finished when I read them. This part has potential and some cool things have happened. 7. Part 5: Vento Aureo - This part just seemed like a mess. The setting and cast were cool but it seems like the part that's the most out of place. 6. Part 3: Stardust Crusaders - This one might surprise a lot of people but, as much as I enjoy part 3, I don't actually think it's that good. First of all, Araki hadn't fully perfected the art of Stand Battles, the main cast suffers from severe derp syndrome and they did my boy Joseph dirty. Dio brought the HYPE though. "ZA WARUDOOO!" 5. Part I: Phantom Blood - The beginning, where it all started. You just gotta respect the foundation that would become the titan that is, JOJO! 4. Part 7: Steel Ball Run - The new beginning. The start of the alternate universe. I found this part to have a really cool concept, the "Spin", which is the alternate version of "Hamon." Also D4C and President Valentine were awesome. "Nyohoho." 3. Part 4: Diamond Is Unbreakable - Objectively, I think this is the best part. Best story, solid characters, great battles and the best antagonist. Not to mention Persona 4 essentially copied part 4 of Jojo (why doesn't anyone see this lol)? 2. Part 6: Stone Ocean - Finally a part with some useful female characters. This part ties in well into earlier parts and Jolyne is a fun protagonist to follow. The bad guy was also pretty good. I like that Joylne is a blend of Jotaro and Joseph in personality. 1. Part 2: Battle Tendency - This part is my favorite because of one person. Joseph. Joestar. By far the most enjoyable main character for a series I've had to pleasure of enjoying. Whamu was great, I loved Caesar and personally, I am a huge fan of Ripple Energy.

I'd instead put JoJollion at 8, and by far the 1 that literally gave me goosebumps, Part 4 at 1.

This is one of the worst lists I've ever seen of all time. Best thing I can say is it's succinct, but what was done with the brevity was god awful. Did a 13 year old write this? I don't have a problem with the order of the list, because I believe people can have their own opinions. As input, though, I disagree with the argument in favor of Part 4. There was absolutely no story for a majority of the manga. A majority of the stands were nothing more than filler encounters that led to nowhere. Do you really believe that the sniper rats were a great Stand battle? Or Aqua Necklace at the beginning? Which was just a series of him being captured in different creative ways? If anything, the lore was deepened somewhat (the arrow) and the Joestar line begins to diverge more. Kira is fascinating, sure. But he's no great antagonist. He's a ruthless serial killer that just wanted to live his life murdering in peace. Every villain in every other part at least has a larger goal. In fact, he just HAPPENED to appear as the antagonist, when Josuke's crosshairs were mainly on Red Hot Chilly Pepper. Enjoy it all you want, but Diamond is Unbreakable is a Slice of Life. Not an adventure, like the other parts of Jojo.
